Get the Right Stacks Right on Time.

Cherry firewood produces 20.0 million BTUs per cord (our firewood stacks are 1/4 face-cords).

• This dense hardwood smokes less and produces very little ash compared to softwoods. Cherry wood is also easy to split into kindling.
• Cherry burns slowly and evenly, giving off a steady medium-heat output. Like most hardwood it makes for a long-lasting fire. Keep in mind cherry wood can pop and spark if it’s not properly kiln-dried.
• As it burns with its large flame, this wood fills the air with a slightly fruity aroma coupled with the light scent of almonds or marzipan.

Hickory firewood produces 28.5 million BTUs per cord (our firewood stacks are 1/4 face-cords).

• Fires using hickory will typically burn hotter than oakwood. With one log burning for 4 hours, It’s not only an efficient solid fuel source, but a cost-effective one.
• After the flames die down the hickory coals will continue to give off a good amount of heat even as the fire dies down.
• This black hardwood has a sweet and earthy smell that some say smells like ham, but that may just be because it’s commonly used to smoke pork. After burning, the scent will pleasantly linger in your home.
